The evocative Palazzo Pisani on the Canal Grande was used as the set for Don’t look now (1973), Nicolas Roeg’s psychological thriller where two parents try to overcome the tragedy of the death of their daughter by moving to somewhat dark and unsettling Venice. The film is a sort of dreamlike voyage where nothing is ever exactly what it appears and what one sees is often a premonition.
