The palace, built in the second half of the 15th Century by the Pisani family, sits at one of the most fascinating points along the Canal Grande, between the Rialto Bridge and Ca' Foscari. Built in full Gothic style, it underwent several changes until assuming its current appearance in the 18th Century.
The façade has a double portal and splendid esafore on the noble floors with cross-arches.

The interior is typically Baroque including a majestic staircase with a double flight of steps and rich decoration, the work of major Venetian artists from the 1700s.
Thanks to restoration over the last decade, Palazzo Pisani Moretta has now regained part of its former splendour so admired by many distinguished visitors in the past, such as Tsar Paul of Russia, Josephine Bonaparte and Joseph II of Austria.

Today, the palace once again hosts a masked Carnival ball each year, one of the biggest events in the Venetian Baroque calendar.
